Make It Monday: Double Embossing

Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends in the US! Hope that you are able to celebrate with loved ones!

I made a card using the techniques shown in the latest Make It Monday video: double embossing. I used the In Bloom Impression plate and Mat Stack 4. I did "spritz" my paper before running it through, which helped quite a bit. My spritz was a bit heavier-handed then I would have liked. It took a while for the paper to dry and I wasn't feeling very patient, so I went ahead a heat embossed by sentiment, but as you can see, little fleck stuck in places they aren't supposed to be!

This is a great technique that I will definitely try again!

Thanks for stopping by!
Melissa

I'd never seen that impression plate until tonight and now I am thinking that I must get it! Lovely card-- that' s cool idea to spritz it first before running it through.

So pretty, Melissa. I LOVE the fact that you left some "white" space above the sentiment. This is a perfect sympathy card.
