Wishing you...

Hope you're having a great weekend!

I'm playing along with this month's PTI blog hop (interactive cards) as well as the week's Make It Monday (glittered buttons). Fun!

Photobucket

I stamped a background using the new Pretty Peonies set--stamped the outline and inside of the larger flower as well as the smaller outline, and colored a bit with Copics. The beautiful frame is also from that set, which I cut out by hand.

Photobucket

Here is a close up of the glittered buttons! The sentiment is from Movers & Shakers: Sentiments. Under the zipper it reads "a birthday as special as you are".

Thanks for coming by!

Harvest Berries card set

I've been working on some sets of cards that will be donations to our preschool's silent auction.

Here is the first one: a set of cards using Harvest Berries. This may look familiar, and it is! I copied myself and redid this card .

I used sentiments from the Year of Flowers series, and the little butterfly from Round and Round. I used Berry Sorbet ink and ribbon, Aqua Mist ink and ribbon, Autumn Rose ink and ribbon, and Grape Jelly (Memento) ink and Royal Velvet ribbon, along with kraft ink and cardstock, and Vintage Cream cardstock.

Thanks for taking a look!

Happy Easter, Happy Spring...

Hope you had a great weekend! (I guess it's actually Monday already, but it's been a long weekend for us here).

As soon as I saw Nichole's card during the Anniversary countdown using the base of the Cupcake shaped card-die as a basket, I knew I wanted to try it! I used a ribbon instead of a strip of cardstock.

You make the world a better place

I'm hosting the next Card Caravan challenge, brought to you at The Hybrid Chick .

Here is the color inspiration photo (from Design Seeds):

And my card:

Photobucket

I used the digital kit Time Well Spent by Elise's Pieces. The teal piece is from the kit, as well as the little berry and yellow circles, which I punched out with a tiny hole punch.

I heat embossed with white detail powder the leaves and sentiment, which come from Harvest Berries and Year of Flowers: Roses.

I hope you'll check out our challenge!

Thinking of you, always

Today's PTI Anniversary challenge is to make a card with leaves and butterflies, so I pulled out my trusty Harvest Berries stamp set.

Photobucket

The little butterflies in Berry Sorbet are from Round and Round (Anniversary set), and the leaves are stamped with the new Kraft ink! Sentiment is from Year of Flowers: Lily of the Valley.

Class Valentines

I'm back with my project for Day 7 of the PTI anniversary celebration!

My son and I got busy making valentine's for his class today, and they all had hearts!

Photobucket

We cut the patterned paper using the Lunchbox Note die, and then I puched a hole at the bottom for the lollipop. My son stamped and colored some images and the "to and from" from the set Tiny Treats: Valentine.

Happy Valentine's Day

Another PTI card! This one is for Sketch #4. I used Betsy's technique for cutting a frame out of the Quatrefoil Cover Plate. Thanks for sharing that, Betsy!

Photobucket

The sentiments and hearts come from Heart Prints.

Have a great night!
Melissa

You did it!

Back today with another card for PTI's anniversary festivities! My card is based from Sketch #1.

Photobucket

The pretty papers come from Pink Paislee's Nantucket line. I stamped an image from Year of Flowers Collection in the oval, and the sentiment is from Enjoy the Ride.

Papertrey and Pinterest, Take 2

Here's my second project for today's contest.

I die cut and stamped the bird cages (from Love Birds) and added them onto a background that I impressed with the Woodgrain Impression plate. The sentiment also comes from Love Birds.

Have a great night!

Papertrey and Pinterest

Today's anniversary contest for Papertrey Ink is to use an inspiration photo from Pinterest to create a card.

I used the daisies from Friendship Jar and stamped them twice: once onto cream cardstock and once onto some patterned paper. I heat embossed my favorite border image (from Waltzingmouse Stamps) on the side of the Hawaiian Shores Cardstock. Sentiment is from Happy Trails.

Happy birthday

I've jumped onto the "shading-Rosie-Posie-flower" bandwagon! I know I don't know if I'll ever be able to stamp them without shading! I used Copics for my cards.

Uploaded with Snapbucket

I decided to leave off a sentiment for now, and when I need a card for something, I'll add it then.

Sentiment is from Enjoy the Ride.

Birthday Wishes

My final card is inspired by Danielle's cute birthday invites. I used Blooming Button Bits to stamp the greenery, and added buttons and little butterflies from Round and Round. I kept the same color scheme as well, as I loved the little pop of Raspberry Fizz with the pastel colors.

Photobucket

Have a great night!

Happy for you!

Next up is my Lisa card! I wanted to create a focal image like Lisa did, layering a Mat Stack die cut with a Fillable Frames one. The sentiment comes from Enjoy the Ride.

One more to go!

Happy Mother's Day

I'm back with another card for today's PTI Anniversary contest! This card is based off of Debbie's project. I used the tiny envelope die to create this card, as well as Year of Flowers: Collection and Year of Flower: Sweet Pea.

Photobucket

Patriots are in the lead, so my husband is happy!

Happy Valentine's Day

My third card is based off of Jess Witty's project. I impressed the cardstock with the Quatrefoil die plate, and I rubbed Versamark over it before and it gave a great impression! (Thanks, Deb for that idea!)

Photobucket

I also used Happy Day for the label and sentiment, with a double ended-banner sticking out from behind.

You color my world

My second card was inspired by Maile's card. Instead of Chevron stripes, I used BB: Houndstooth, and the sentiments are from Tiny Treats: Valentine.

Photobucket

Back with one more in a bit!

Just a Note

I had some time to play along with the PTI Anniversary contest today! Here is my first card, inspired by Dawn's card.

Photobucket

I used the same stamp from Table Service to make a background. I also used Edgers #3to die cut the bottom edges. "Just a note" is the same sentiment as Dawn used, from Postmarks.

Card Caravan Challenge

Happy superbowl Sunday! My husband is gearing up for the game and hoping for a Patriots win!

I'm back to share my card for the next Card Caravan Challenge, which is to use ribbon on a card.

Photobucket

I made a fun ribbon treatment on the left of the card, and also tied some ribbon into a button. The pretty paper comes from Sarah J's The Good Life: February Mini Kit .

I do have some projects to share, so I hope to be back again soon!
