Pages with Papertrey #1

I'm playing along with a new scrapbooking challenge posted on the Papertrey Ink forum, Pages with Papertrey.

The first challenge is to use a PTI stamp set and die on a page. I made a page with the picture of my son holding his soccer trophy on the last day of soccer.

Photobucket

I used Have a Ball mini set, Mat Stack 1, and the Mat Stack 1 die and Layerz die. The red paper is Cosmo Cricket.

Papertrey Ink Customer Favorites

Papertrey Ink is celebrating it's 4th Anniversary! And today it's hosting a contest in which customers post and link their own favorite project from 2010 in a chance to win a huge prize! See all the details here at Nicole's blog.

I'm going to repost my favorite project that I made in 2010, a scrapbook page.

First and Last LO

This page features photos of my kids on their first day of preschool, back in September 2009, and their last day of school in June 2010. It was particularly special as it was my daughter's first year at preschool and my son's last.

First and Last close 1

I used a ton of PTI product on this: the stamp sets School Time and School Time Additions, the large scallop border die, stamps from Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger and Tabs.

I did lots of fun background stamping and heat embossing. For all the details you can visit my original post .

Have a great weekend!

Preschool Graduate

Lee gave the PTI Princess blogging group a challenge a few weeks ago to use banners on a project. I saw the idea to use PTI's kite from Up, Up and Away to make a banner (can't remember who's idea it was, let me know if you know and I'll credit them!)

I used some old My Mind's Eye papers, the string stamp from It's a Celebration and some alpha stickers. I stamped a background from School Time onto the yellow paper, and also used Library Ledger to stamp the date.

You can swing!

Happy Sunday evening! We are all prepared and excited for the first day of school tomorrow.

I'm sharing a scrapbook page I made recently for my daughter's album that captures the milestone of her being able to swing all by herself! She is pretty proud about this!

Swing LO

I used some older Basic Grey paper that matched well with the photos and the butterflies are stamped from the set Buttefly Dreams and cut out.

Papertrey Pages challenge

ETA: I changed the sizes of the pictures as only a portion was showing up, weird!

The challenge this month is to use kraft and to make your own embellishment. That is doable! I ended up making several pages and finally scrapping some pictures that have been waiting two years for me to put them to use!

Kennedy's 1st birthday page 1

This is the first page of a two page spread. It uses some Pink Paislee paper and the design of the layout is copied from one by Kelly Purky in Creating Keepsakes.

Kennedy's 1st birthday page 2

Same products, second page. Not sure why the lighting is bad on this one.

first birthday fun

And the last page. I used Beautiful Blooms II stamped in versamark to create a background on the page, and I cut out the cute animals and tree from some Imaginisce paper called Twitterpated.

Scrapbook pages

It has been forever since I did any scrapbooking for my kids' albums. My daughter's scrapbook is suffering from second-child syndrome compared to the bursting-at-the-seams two full albums I did for my son! So, I worked on a few pages for Kennedy's album tonight using some photos from the enormous pile waiting to be scrapped from the last two years of her little life!

The first page I made following a sketch from the Basic Grey July newsletter and I used Basic Grey's Lemonade paper collection.

The second one uses Basic Grey again, Junebug papers. I sewed a zig-zag stitch along the edges of the papers. Both pages use Bazzill cardstock, Walnut Stain Distress Ink and sponge.
