I managed to emerge from my bed and create a card this morning!
My kids and I have been sick all week, so this weekend I'll be cleaning, disinfecting, doing laundry and restocking tissues!
I wanted to play along with the Waltzingmouse Stamps CASE competition before the time ran out. Check here for details and to see the entries.
I chose to CASE Belinda's lovely card. Here it is:
So pretty! I created a card that also had a label 14 cut-out and I also stamped a musical background behind the focal image.
The flower basket comes from WMS's Spring Baskets. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the dots. The cardstock is Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz and Stamper's Select. The velvet trim comes from American Craft. Everything was popped up with foam tape.
Thanks for looking!

January PTI Blog Hop
Hello fellow hoppers!
Our theme this month was to use a stamp set that had not yet been used, or something that was gathering dust. I don't have any sets that are unused, but I pulled out an old favorite that hadn't been used in a while, Baby Button Bits.
It's funny...I had two patterned paper layers ready to adhere onto my card base, and as I was sewing them the focal layer was on top of the base and I loved the way it looked! So I went with it...and now I have a clean and simple card!
The cupcake is paper pieced with some My Mind's Eye papers, onto which I added a button tied with silk ribbon. The sentiment is from Enjoy the Ride.
Sorry for the dark pictures, I couldn't get them to look any better in Photoshop.
Thanks for coming by!

Happy Monday! I've got two sick kids with me today...luckily there is no school today anyway. I'm getting a little tired of winter and all the sickies, so in an effort to invite spring, I've been making lots of cards with light, spring colors and beautiful florals!
The patterned paper is from Basic Grey, Hopscotch, and a Fancy Pants paper. The sentiment is from a Year of Flower set. Other cardstock colors are kraft, Lavendar Moon and Aqua Mist, along with an Aqua Mist satin ribbon.
Thanks for taking a look!

Happy birthday
Hope you had a great weekend!
Here's a card that I made for my grandma's birthday, which is later this month. I love this delicate patterned paper, from the My Mind's Eye line, Fine and Dandy. I'm so happy I cut into this sheet, but I may have to buy another to use on more projects!
The little butterflies are from Butterfly Dreams, and the sentiment comes from Delightful Dahlia. The scalloped circles were cut using the Love Lives Here die.

Thank You
I'm finally back to update my blog!
Of course, I'm needing thank you cards to send out after Christmas, and I found this post by Sara that made my jaw drop! I thought her cards were simply beautiful, so the next chance I had, I made some copies of her card. The only things I changed were the colors and the sentiment, and its placement.
After a few of those, I decided to make some cards in the same style that I've made in the past, changing a few elements. No time lately to reinvent the wheel!
I heat embossed the leaves from Beautiful Blooms with clear ep onto Ocean Tides cardstock, a somewhat forgotten color. (At least to me). Then I die cut and stamped the Fillable Frame image, and stamped the sentiment.
I've been busying working on my son's 6th birthday party...I'm a little behind. For him, it's all Mario, all the time, so not much stamping involved with my preparations. But I do plan to make some goodie "boxes" using a template, I think!.
Thanks for stopping by!

Top Ten of 2010
Hi, friends! Happy New Year!
I love seeing all the top ten posts going up, and I thought I'd look through my posts from the last year and choose my top ten favorite projects.
This is the calendar that I made for my mom's birthday using the Year of Flower series and Calendar Basics. Here is my favorite flower, Morning Glory.
Next up is my card for the August Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz. This is the first time I used Glimmer Mist and I love how the stamped background paper looks.
I made this card for Sara, who was my proxy shopper at CHA. To me, this card is so cheerful and I love the papers and the tickets!
This is my favorite scrapbook LO that I made this year! I love the backgrounds I made using School Time and clear embossing powder. And this is such a great way for me to remember my kids at this point in time.
This fun, oversize card was a blast to create! I really like all the glitter!
This layout is so special to me! I'm so glad to incorporate my stamping into scrapbooking.
This card showcases my love of the color hawaiian shores!
I really like the ribbon on this card. It's silk ribbon colored with Copic markers.
LOVE the embossed background on the hawiian shores piece. A fun color combo that I rarely use!
And finally, my first GSS win. This card was for my Grandma's birthday. I love the big cluster of balloons.
I'm feeling inspired to go back and copy some of these cards now.
Hope you enjoy your weekend!
